A sight that I saw in TV TOKYO’s popular TV program “Drain all the water in the pond”.
It is a “WADABORI – IKE” pond in the park in Suginami Ward. At present, the water in the pond is being drained.
Water drainage is done in a traditional way called “KAIBORI”.
The fish rescued from the pond is temporarily stored in the local citizen pool.
Next year in January of 2018, work to remove dirty mud is scheduled.
After that, clean water is injected into the pond where dirty mud has been removed.
